Woody, a Scottish Terrier

Comments from Loralei:

"Woody was a whirling dervish that barked non-stop the first time I went to visit Yvonne and him. He had an even bigger problem outside because he was highly reactive to other dogs. This meant that Yvonne had to purposely walk him at times when she was sure not to encounter anyone. Being a Scottie lover myself, I loved his feisty personality but he needed to learn to focus more on Yvonne and less on setting his own agenda. I must commend Yvonne on her commitment to working with Woody and it was a pleasure to see the progress he made each week when we got together. Woody is still full of personality but without the constant vocalizing so many terriers exhibit. It just goes to show you what can happen when you learn to "speak a dog's language".

Comments from Woody's Owner, Yvonne:

"I was given Woody right after I was separated and needing a companion. I had no idea how to handle a Scottish Terrier. When I moved to Houston, I knew the move was stressful on Woody as it was on me. I looked up dog training and found you. What a great day that was! Not only did you make home training sessions but you also had 2 Scottish Terriers of your own. Woody has gotten better with having people and other dogs pass by while he is outside by learning how to distract him. I have gained confidence in myself with this training especially how to handle Woody since he is a very active dog. THANK YOU Loralei for your expertise and patience."
